ATCU Extends Condolences on the Passing of Albert Henriques

The Atlantic Caribbean Union extends condolences to Shirlene Henriques and family and the entire membership of the Cayman Islands Conference on the passing of Albert Henriques, Sis. Henriques' husband. We offer our words of comfort and hope to Sis Shirlene, an important part of the family at ATCU. The funeral service for Albert Hendriques will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. , at the George Town SDA Church in Grand Cayman. “When the cares of my heart are many, Your consolations cheer my soul” (Psalms 94:19).

Earlier this year, the Inter-American Division (IAD) launched its Constant in Prayer spiritual revival program at El Palacio de los Deportes in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. During that event, Pastor Israel Leito, president of IAD, stated that the church in Inter-America has always been identified as a church that prays. He also shared the purpose of the initiative.

ACUM Attends General Conference’s Fall Council

From October 11 to 17, 2012, the Seventh-day Adventist world church held its fall annual council at the church’s headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The main committee meetings addressed policy items and received reports from various departments and divisions, including an update from the “Theology of Ordination Study Committee” and a comprehensive report on the 10-40 window which reflected the need for ongoing mission offerings and prayer for these un-entered territories.

ACUM Conveys Condolences

It was Thursday morning, July 12, 2012 that I was awakened rather early with the confrontation of sad news. It was my brother and colleague, Pastor Errol Tinker, president of the North Bahamas Conference, who called to inform of the passing of his wife of over 30 years Yvette Alice Tinker. Pathfinder/Youth Camp

Under the theme Impacting Youth for Christ, the North Bahamas Conference Pathfinder/ Youth Camp will be held from July 15th- 22nd at the old Missile Base in Eastern Grand Bahama. Pathfinders from Abaco and Grand Bahama will be camping out for week and learning important life lessons. The bus leaves for the camp-site on Sunday morning.
