Women of ACUM Prepare To Attend Spiritual Retreat

The women's ministries directors from the four fields of the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ACUM), along with their respective delegations, will converge at the Grand Lucayan Hotel, Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas, September 14-16, 2012, for a spiritual oasis weekend under the theme "That I Might Live for Him.”
Mrs. Denise Johnson, women’s ministries director of ACUM and organizer of the event, explained that the retreat is designed to draw participants closer to God so that His will can be carried out in their lives.

“Jesus, our example, took time out for prayer, meditation, and fellowship all in an effort to know His Father better and to receive the divine power necessary to go about doing His Father’s business,” said Mrs. Johnson. “Likewise, the women of ACUM, emulating this practice of Jesus’ and also focusing on the objectives of Revival and Reformation, an initiative of the Adventist World Church, will assemble in the North Bahamas Conference to commune with God, seeking His power to live for Him.”
Mrs. Johnson further shared that women from the Cayman Islands, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Bahama Islands will not only experience a closer walk with God, but will “create lasting and empowering memories of Spirit-filled presentations, inspiring prayer and praise sessions, and uplifting testimonies that will be cherished along with the life-long friendships made.”

The special guest presenter, Dr. Gina Brown from the United States of America, is a wife, mother, registered nurse, writer, and public speaker, and is known for her devotion to prayer and God's word.

One of the highlights of the retreat will be the Saturday night's cultural event, when each field director will present her report. Additionally, the evening will showcase the various cultures within the union territory. Ladies are asked to register right away to ensure that their space is reserved.
