Pastor Leonard Johnson Officially Installed as Executive Secretary of the IAD

Pastor Leonard A. Johnson, former president of the Atlantic Caribbean Union of Seventh-day Adventists (ATCU), was officially installed as Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (IAD) on Saturday November 10, 2018. In this capacity, Pastor Johnson will be overseeing, among other things, membership care and the adherence to and interpretation of church policies for the twenty-four unions of the IAD in countries from Mexico in the north to Columbia in the south.
Pastor Johnson was installed alongside the new president of the IAD, Pastor Ellie Henry in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Officiating the installation and consecration service were Pastor Israel Leito, immediate former president of IAD, and Pastor Ted Wilson, president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Attending the service in Haiti were leaders from the 24 unions in the IAD including all three officers of ATCU namely Pastor Peter Kerr, president, Dr. Cheryl Rolle, Executive Secretary, and Elder Roderick Sands, Treasurer. Harold Dorsette, from the Bahamas was invited as a guest soloist for the ceremony and was well received as he sang in both English and French.
